I have a genomic range (chr9:129377235-132308843) and I would like to see which human genes are included in that range. Now, I am going to show how to do this by using the online tool TableBrowser (https://genome.ucsc.edu/cgi-bin/hgTables) in UCSC.

- genome: Human
- assembly: hg19
- group: Genes and Gene Prediction
- track: RefSeq Genes
- table: refGene
- position: chr9:129377235-13230884
Click “get output” button to have the result:

You can load into Excel to manipulate the data.

Then, we can remove duplicates in Excel to get the distinct gene list.
Enjoy!!
